Kenautis Smith is back with a new project and this time he’s accompanied by the multi-talented Blackspade (Hawthorne HeadHunters), and together they’ve crafted a refreshing new album “Motivational Tool”. The album is fresh in an old school way, yet soulful, creative, and modern. Kenautis produces a majority of the album seamlessly intertwining live instrumentation with dirty soul samples. Spade provides the voice of the album singing and rapping on a variety of topics. He’s accompanied by a number of guests including Naledge (Kidz in the Hall) who drops a slick verse on “All In My Mind”, Race (The Primeridian) and Teresa Jenee both shine on “Still Remainz”, and Cap D (All Natural) provides some golden era flow on the throwback track “Sick”.
